WINDOW FEATURES
Cleaner and significantly more environmentally friendly than old-fashioned heated glycerin methods, dry-air bending system enables craftsmen to shape stout frame profile into any number of shapes for the ultimate in architectural design options. This system leaves no messy residue inside or upon the extrusion profiles after the shaping process is complete.
In this beveled exterior frame with wood-look interior, the sash moldings yield a distinct style that’s particularly pleasing to the eye.
This is the same profile featured in Soft-Lite’s picture windows. It extends around the entire perimeter of the glass, including head, sill, and jambs, and makes this design perfect for homes where picture windows and shapes are installed nearby one another.
All Soft-Lite windows are made using the finest quality, specially blended unplasticized polyvinylchloride or uPVC frames and sash. Your window frame and sash material will not rot like wood windows are prone to do; it will never corrode.. uPVC is environmentally friendly because it saves energy better than other materials.

GLASS
Energy Efficient Glass Options
In general, the better a window’s insulated glass package, the more energy savings and comfort it will provide. One caveat … don’t be fooled by the focus some manufacturers place on “R” factor by itself. According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Guide for Selecting Windows for Energy Efficiency, “The insulating value of an entire window can be very different from the glazing (glass package) alone. Instead, look at the certified NFRC “U” value for the entire window unit. The lower the “U” value the better the window will insulate. Industry standard is a “U” value of 0.30.
