Soft-Lite All Series bay and bow windows are designed to extend outside a wall to open up a room, allowing for a sweeping panoramic view, a well-lit living space, all while creating a snug interior nook. Bay windows are comprised of three or more windows that form corner angles, and bow windows present curves instead of corners and contain four or more connected windows.

Array of Configurations
Choose double hung or casement style windows in 10 degree, 15 degree, 30 degree or 45 degree three-window bays. Bow windows are available in 10 degree and 15 degree four-window, 10 degree five-window, or 10 degree six-window models.
1 1/2 inch Furniture Grade Hardwood Veneer Seat
The interior face of our hardwood veneer lumber is hand-selected for book-matched seams with color and grain consistency and features no knots or glue lines. Each seat is whole-piece faced or minimally seamed for exceptional wood quality resulting in excellent stain and finish appearance.
Super Seat
Exclusive Super Seat measures an impressive three inches in total thickness, consisting of a full 1 1/4 inch hardwood seatboard, Dow® polyisocyanurate high-density R9 foam board, plus a 3/4 inch exterior-grade ply fused into one base for the ultimate in structural and ?Best-in-Class? thermal performance.
Edge Banding
An uncommon aesthetic enhancement, edge banding wraps and protects the revealed edges of the hardwood veneer for durable protection against moisture and to enhance the finished appearance of the installed unit.
ComfortFoam
Strategic main-frame and sash chambers are fully insulated with ComfortFoam, an environmentally friendly CFC free foam insulation.
Low-e Glass
All Soft-Lite bays and bows come with low-e glass with argon gas fill standard. Additional glass enhancements are available.
Solid Steel Threaded Rod Mulling
Compare against lesser designs where mulling is little more than a capping with no structural function. This solid steel rod extends from above the units to its underside for total structural support. Two rods are included inside every bay or bow.
Fasteners
Fastening methods vary widely among manufacturers. Countersunk weld nuts assure flush underside for smooth capping while the heavy-duty steel eyebolts function as strong links to the zero-sag chain support system.
Cable-Free Chain Support System
Cables stretch under the stress of gravity over time and need to be adjusted to maintain support. Not true with chains. Our chain support system holds 1,600 pounds of weight and renders the need for old-fashioned underbracing obsolete.
Full Vinyl Capping and Wrap
The Super Seat is capped permanently along its exposed outer edges by the same virgin vinyl used to make our windows. This system affords easy water run-off and created a beautiful finished look with no need for on-site caulk or glue.

Pre-Finished External Knee Brace
Provides support where the No-Sag chain support system cannot be used. This brace features a maintenance-free vinyl clad design that never needs painting and eliminates the jobsite fabrication of braces. It is pre-sized to fit the custom projection of each bay or bow.
Hip-Style Roof System
Our roofs are custom-built to precisely match your custom bay or bow. CNC design and factory assembly ensures perfect fit every time. Ready for your installer’s shingle system. Each roof is also notched to accommodate our hanging chain support system.
Designer Architecural Glass
A true work of art. Designer Architectural Glass allows your creative spirit to take flight. Each custom art piece is hand cut and hand leaded together, to your specifications, and sandwiched between sealed insulated glass. Glass colors, leading colors and design options, including true v-grooved glass, allow an almost unlimited range of choice for any taste or home style.
Roof Clad Kits
Kits are pre-cut and pre-shaped to fit your bay or bow. Tooled seam caps are used to secure each panel and eliminate the possibility of leaks. Available in 16 ounce real copper, or in 28 decorator Kynar® painted colors.
GLASS
Energy Efficient Glass Options
In general, the better a window’s insulated glass package, the more energy savings and comfort it will provide. One caveat … don’t be fooled by the focus some manufacturers place on “R” factor by itself. According to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Guide for Selecting Windows for Energy Efficiency, “The insulating value of an entire window can be very different from the glazing (glass package) alone. Instead, look at the certified NFRC “U” value for the entire window unit. The lower the “U” value the better the window will insulate. Industry standard is a “U” value of 0.30.

Solarban® SB-70XL® offers up to 94% of ultra-violet fade protection for your drapes and your enterior furnishings… more than any glass package available in windows today. Don’t be misled by claims of so-called low-e packages that claim fade protection. Low-e glass may reduce fading slightly, but does not screen out any of the most damaging UV rays. See actual comparisons above and judge for yourself. Only SB-70XL stands the test of time.

Sure-Coat™ is available in 14 standard colors. Our color matching system allows us to custom match any color you choose. For a small fee we send your color sample to our World Class color supplier for a perfect match. Sure-Coat is warranted for 10 years and can be reapplied in the field anytime afterward.

Both of our grid styles come in all the interior and exterior colors of the windows. Your home will be completely color matched. All contour and flat grids are contained within the insulated glass.
