PROJECT SCOPE
- Installed one Therma-Tru Smooth Star (S100) prefinished white fiberglass entry door with mill adjustable sill and right-hand hinging from exterior
- Installed one Bilco prefinished basement door in Red Brick finish
- Performed full new-construction installation on both units, including complete removal of existing doors down to the studs, insulation, flashing, and new trim work
- Interior trim updated by keeping the main layer and replacing the secondary layer with new flat pine; exterior trim upgraded with flat PVC for long-term durability
Collaboration:We love working on homes in our hometown of Ridgefield, CT. For this project, the homeowner wanted a safer, warmer, more efficient basement entry along with an upgraded main entry door. Window Solutions Plus removed the existing steel door and the aging Bilco hatch, replacing them both with premium, prefinished units designed for strength, weather protection, and clean curb appeal.
The final result created a noticeably warmer and more secure basement area — a space the family uses daily, and now with added comfort and peace of mind.
