PROJECT SCOPE

  • Replaced 8 windows with Andersen 400 Series Tilt Wash double hung windows, featuring two configurations: Prefinished white pine interiors with 8-over-8 removable grids & Clear unfinished pine interiors with 12-over-12 removable grids and tempered lower sashes.
  • Features: Terratone PVC exteriors, Low-E Argon glass, and standard screens.
  • Installation: Replacement method, retaining existing jambs and trim with narrow trim stops reinstalled or added.

Andersen 400 Series Tilt Wash Double Hung Window

Collaboration:This project replaced 8 existing double hung windows with Andersen 400 Series Tilt Wash double hung windows, combining energy efficiency with timeless design across the home. The first set of 4 windows featured prefinished white pine interiors, Terratone PVC exteriors, dual-paned Low-E Argon glass, and 8-over-8 removable grids, while the second set included clear unfinished pine interiors, Terratone PVC exteriors, 12-over-12 removable grids, and tempered lower sashes for enhanced safety due to proximity to the floor. Both sets included standard screens for functionality.

Installation followed a replacement method, where existing jambs and trim were retained. The old window components were removed, and the new windows were fitted into the existing jamb pockets. Narrow trim stops were reinstalled or added as needed, ensuring a seamless integration with the home’s existing design.
