Collaboration:This Pella window and door project in Weston, CT upgraded the home’s energy efficiency and appearance while preserving transom aesthetics for consistency throughout. The project included replacing 13 double hung windows with Pella Reserve double hungs and upgrading a hinged patio door with a matching transom above, ensuring seamless integration with existing design while enhancing views and natural light.

Windows and doors feature prefinished bright white pine interiors and white aluminum-clad exteriors, with Low-E Argon energy-efficient glass and authentic FDL (three-part) grids for a clean, timeless look. The windows include standard white hardware and full screens, while the hinged patio door features Virago satin brass hardware and a hinged screen, maintaining both style and ventilation. Grid patterns were carefully matched across kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and living spaces to preserve consistency.

The windows were installed using a replacement method, with custom-measured units spray foam insulated into existing jambs, maintaining interior and exterior trim. The patio door and transom were installed using a new construction method, with full removal to the studs, proper flashing, insulation, and new interior and exterior trim for a watertight seal and polished finish.
