Pella Lifestyles Casement Window Project in Hamden, CT

Collaboration: This Pella Lifestyles casement window replacement project in Hamden, CT included the installation of 15 replacement units totaling 21 window lites, significantly improving the home’s energy performance, safety, and overall appearance.

All windows feature prefinished bright white pine interiors, white aluminum-clad exteriors, Advanced Low-E Argon energy-efficient glass, and white InView screens with champagne hardware. Grids were customized using FDL authentic 3-part SDLs, matching existing patterns in select rooms, while others were left grid-free for a more modern look. Tempered safety glass was installed in multiple stair and bathroom locations to meet code requirements.

The installation used a replacement method, carefully removing existing window components while preserving interior and exterior trim. Spray foam insulation was added within the jamb pockets for an airtight seal, and new aluminum cladding was applied to the exterior where needed.

Targeted rot repair was performed across various room locations, addressing sill noses, legs, and casement repairs using rot-resistant PVC materials.
