Harvey Window and Patio Door Replacement Project in Beacon Falls, CT

Collaboration:This full-house window and patio door replacement in Beacon Falls, CT included 22 new Harvey vinyl windows and a large 3-panel sliding patio door. We replaced 21 double hung windows and 1 casement window using a mix of replacement and retrofit methods, depending on what worked best for each opening. We kept the existing trim where possible, added new interior stops as needed, and made sure everything was sealed tight for energy efficiency. The grid patterns were customized for each room—like 6-over-6 in the dining room and kitchen, and 8-over-8 in several bedrooms—to match the home’s original style.

We also replaced the old 3-panel hinged door with a new Harvey 3-panel sliding patio door. This door was installed using a full-frame method, which means we removed all the old trim and framing, then installed everything new from the inside out. The interior got clear colonial-style trim, and the outside was finished with clean white PVC trim with a J-pocket for a watertight seal.
