Andersen Woodwright Window Replacement in New Canaan, CT

Collaboration:This project replaced 29 windows with Andersen 400 Series Woodwright double hung windows, enhancing both energy efficiency and aesthetics. The new windows feature prefinished white interiors, Fibrex exteriors, LowE4 energy-efficient glass, and 3/4-inch FDL three-part authentic grids on both sashes. Grid patterns varied across rooms, with 9-over-9 configurations in the living, dining, and library spaces and 6-over-6 patterns in most bedrooms and bathrooms. Tempered glass was used where required for safety compliance.

Installation followed a new construction method, removing the existing units down to the studs, insulating, flashing, and adding new interior and exterior trim while preserving crown moldings and head flashing. The exterior trim was finished with flat PVC, a sill nose, and a decorative shelf at the top. As always, waste removal was included.
