Andersen Woodwright Window & A Series Door Replacement in Ridgefield, CT

Collaboration:This project involved upgrading a total of 38 units across the home, delivering energy-efficient and elegant replacements. The scope included replacing 35 double hung windows and 1 picture window with Andersen 400 Series windows, as well as 2 four-panel sliding patio doors with Andersen A Series four-panel patio doors.

The windows and doors feature prefinished pine interiors, white Fibrex or fiberglass exteriors, and LowE4 energy-efficient glass. All windows include FDL three-part authentic grids with grid patterns such as 6-over-6, 9-over-9, and custom configurations, and white full screens. Doors include Newbury oil-rubbed bronze hardware with matching footlocks and grids matching existing patterns.

The installation followed two methods. Windows were installed using a replacement method, retaining existing trim, while doors utilized a new construction method, removing existing units down to the studs. Interior trim for the doors was updated with Garden State PL378 3 7/8-inch casing, while the exterior featured PVC trim, retaining existing crown molding for consistency.
