Andersen 400 Series Window & Simpson Entry Door Project in Ardsley, NY

Collaboration:This window and door replacement project in Ardsley, NY involved a window style conversion and entryway door upgrade, dramatically improving the home’s energy efficiency, aesthetics, and functionality.

The window portion of the project replaced an existing double hung + picture window combination with a new Andersen 400 Series combination unit featuring a fixed center and casement flankers on either side—representing a notable conversion from double hung to casement style. The unit includes Low-E4 energy-efficient glass, pre-finished white pine interiors, white PVC exteriors, and traditional folding white hardware. The window follows a 1/4 | 1/2 | 1/4 configuration, installed using a new construction method with full frame removal, insulation, and new 2.5” colonial interior trim

The entry door upgrade replaced an older door and sidelight with a Simpson 37660 fir door and matching 37663 sidelight, both featuring taffeta privacy glass. The door includes a Camelot bright brass handleset with accent lever, installed using a new construction method with full trim replacement, insulation, and flashing. This project included an Andersen Storm as well.
