Andersen 400 Series Window Replacement Project in New Canaan, CT

Collaboration:This Andersen replacement window project in New Canaan, CT included the installation of 21 Andersen 400 Series Woodwright double hung windows and 2 Andersen 400 Series casement windows, delivering a full-home upgrade in both energy performance and architectural integrity. The work spanned the first floor, second floor, attic, and front entry, enhancing both curb appeal and interior comfort.

All windows feature prefinished white interiors, white Fibrex or PVC exteriors, and Low-E Argon energy-efficient glass. Each unit includes standard white hardware, standard screens, and FDL three-part authentic grids, with window patterns that match each room’s original design. Grid styles include 6 over 6 in most bedrooms and baths, 2W2H in stair and bath locations, and 9 over 9 (3W3H) in the kitchen and office.

Casement windows, installed left and right of the front entry, were upgraded with traditional folding antique brass hardware to enhance appearance and function.

Installation was completed using a replacement method, with windows installed from the exterior into the existing jamb pockets. Interior and exterior trim remained in place, and rot repairs were completed in select areas, including bedrooms, attic, and master window locations.
