Andersen 400 Series Window Installation New Canaan, CT

Collaboration: This project included a style conversion and energy-efficient upgrades, replacing four double hung windows with Andersen 400 Series Tilt Wash double hungs, along with one triple casement window and one double casement window with Andersen 400 Series replacement casements. Additional enhancements included grid additions, a hardware upgrade, and tempered glass installation for safety compliance.

The new windows feature prefinished white pine interiors, PVC exteriors, and dual-paned Low-E Argon glass for improved insulation. Casement windows were installed with contemporary glazing, white contemporary folding hardware, and full screens, while double hungs were upgraded with Estate Series Satin Nickel hardware and half screens. Grid patterns were added to match existing aesthetics, including 12-over-12 for select double hungs and custom configurations for casements.

Installation followed a replacement method, where existing jambs and trim remained intact while new units were inserted into the original jamb pockets. Rot repairs were completed using PVC material, addressing necessary sill nose replacements.
