Andersen 100 Series Window And Door Installation In Somers, NY

Collaboration:This project included the installation of 8 total units, enhancing both energy efficiency and design. The scope involved replacing 1 patio door with an Andersen 100 Series sliding patio door, 4 hung windows with Andersen 100 Series single hung cottage sash double hung windows, and 3 two-lite sliding windows with Andersen 100 Series two-lite sliding windows.

All units feature white Fibrex interiors, dark bronze Fibrex exteriors, Low-E Argon energy-efficient glass, standard screens, and standard hardware. Safety was prioritized with tempered glass in the door panels and in the bottom sashes of the single hung windows near the floor.

The installation followed a new construction method, with windows and doors inserted into existing jambs from the exterior. New narrow trim stops were added as needed, along with Tru-Exterior composite material trim for the exterior, which requires painting by others. Interior trim included small square trim around windows and 2.5-inch Colonial casing for the doors.
